I'm so beyond sick of hearing this word that I can't even express it.

Please don't say it. Please don't write it. It's not cute, clever, smart, or...anything at all except annoying.

(Unless you happen to be writing about an actual comic book character, that is. I mean, I'm not sure any adult should be writing about such things. But I'm willing to accept I might be unduly closed-minded in this regard, given all the usual rejoinders about Greek mythology and Arthurian legend and the like.)
