Conservative students in Trinity College Dublin have started a conservative online journal, The Burkean Journal.
This is a very heartening development. It deserves support. I've glanced through its articles, and I see that it's not just cheap libertarianism, either-- there is an article defending populism, an article by a prolife activist, and an article defending Catholic history!
Hurray! A reason to be cheerful! Thanks, TCD conservatives!
That site looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe president of the UCD student union ,Katie Ascough has reprinted the student handbook to remove abortion information sections. Katie is an unapologetic pro-lifer.
It would be nice to see a student counterrevolution to upset all those who manned the barricades and braved the teargas in 1968 .
Ascough may be an unapologetic pro-lifer, but I read an interview in which she proclaimed her support for "consent classes" in UCD which I consider misandrist. However, I do admire her prolife stance.
DeleteYes, a student counter-revolution would be very nice!
Good. I’d love to see these liberal fascists go mad over somebody who unashamedly stands up to them. It seems these days that if you have the sheer nerve to utter anything liberals don’t like, you’re blacklisted.
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Sorry it took so long to publish this comment, I get so much spam it's hard to catch the real ones.
