They haven't heard anything new from them, apparently. Well, maybe that's because abortion is (despite claims to the contrary) a very straightforward issue, and everybody really knows that life begins at conception. What new information did they expect?
The Citizen's Assembly is the most stupid idea ever. A democracy has an electorate, and it has elected representatives. Where does a 'randomly' selected assembly of citizens, set up by 'advise' the parliament, fit into this? What do they add to the democratic process?
The fact that the Irish Times classifies this story under "religion and beliefs" tells you a lot.
